Evan P. Schneider is the founding editor of Boneshaker: A Bicycling Almanac, which Esquire called “a philosophical love letter to life in the saddle.”
His novel, A Simple Machine, Like the Lever, was named one of the best books of the year by Willamette Week when it was originally released. It has since been reissued with a foreword by Justin Hocking and adapted for film by Mark Hoffman.
Evan’s writing has appeared in McSweeney’s, The Normal School, Rattle, CrayfishMag, Propeller, and elsewhere. He has received fellowships for his work from the Oregon Arts Commission and Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. His most recent book is Rural Education, a chapbook of poems.
